6.07 Professional in financial investment

This training profile is intended for persons providing investment advisory or investment management services, persons providing information on investment products and services and anyone wishing to acquire the knowledge and skills related to the criteria published by the CSSF through N. 17/665 regarding the ESMA Guidelines on the assessment of knowledge and skills.

It extends over approximately 150 hours and aims at helping participants gain an insight into:
  • The components of CSSF Circular 17/665 ;
  • General principles of financial markets ;
  • Understanding financial instruments and the specificities of portofolio management ;
  • The characteristics of the main investment products ;
  • The awareness of risks associated with these products ;
  • The product performance ;
  • The customer relationship while complying with the requirements of anti-money laundering and KYC regulations.

The candidate who wishes to obtain the diploma "Le professionnel en investissement financier" must pass 6 modules: the 4 compulsory modules of the profile as well as 2 other that can freely be choose in all domains.
In addition to the diploma signed by the Ministry of National Education,  the candidate will receive the certificate confirming his training effort of 60 hours required by the CSSF, to carry out financial investment information provision and advisory activities.

Objectifs
  • Identifier les règles clés d'une gouvernance interne adéquate.
  • Connaître les standards internationaux en matière de cartographie et d' évaluation des risques.
  • Déterminer une approche de gestion des risques d'entreprise efficace et adaptée à un cadre spécifique pour l'entreprise et pour les personnes concernées.
  • Développer les outils de contrôle appropriés.
  • Savoir communiquer les résultats des contrôles réalisés.
  • Comprendre l'analyse d'impact imposée dans certains cas par le RGPD.
Prérequis

Aucun. Toutefois il est recommandé d' avoir suivi un module législatif.

Prérequis

None. However a basic understanding of financial mathematics such as interest rate compounding and discounting as well as basic statistics is recommended.
