Description

• Provide an introduction to the computer hardware and software skills needed to help meet the growing demand for entry-level ICT professionals. (PC Hardware and Software V6 curriculum) 
• Fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts such as security, networking, and the responsibilities of an ICT professional.
• Develop working knowledge of how computers operate, how to assemble computers, and how to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Develop critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills with Hands-on labs and virtual learning tools
• Install and upgrade hardware and software and troubleshoot systems.
• Experiment with network designs and configurations with Cisco Packet Tracer simulation-based learning activities
• Emphasize practical experience to help candidates to develop fundamental computer skills
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers and mobile devices.
• Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using both real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
• Identify common security threats like phishing and spoofing.
